Pipe Fitings Alloy Steel Equal Cross An alloy steel equal cross is a type of pipe fitting used to create a 90-degree branch connection in a piping system, allowing flow in four directions. It is called an "equal cross" because all four openings of the cross-shaped fitting have the same diameter, providing equal-sized connections at right angles to each other.

These Asme B16.9 Equal Cross are covered in sizes NPS 1 ∕ 2 through NPS 48 or DN 15 through DN 1200. The specification also covers fittings of any producible wall thickness, although this standard does not cover buttwelding fittings meant for low pressure corrosion resistant.
